Quick answers for the moments when something does not work as expected.
Why won’t an eye turn me into a kaiju?
New forms are unlocked at altars in 3.0.0. Hunters use eyes for borrowed powers. Eyes no longer unlock beast forms.
Can I unlock ocean and gila on the same new character?
No. Choosing one species makes the other altar refuse you. Existing saves keep forms already unlocked before this change.
Why can’t I use my full form yet?
Stage 1 only has a half form. Defeat 10 human Townsfolk from the mod while half-turned to reach stage 2. Vanilla villagers and cultists do not count.
Why am I not growing after a kill?
After stage 1, you must be fully transformed and defeat a full kaiju at least your stage. Half-form residents do not count. At stages 5, 8, and 11, you also need the matching village-heart milestone. Press H to check progress.
Why can’t I transform inside a village?
Human walled villages and nearby fortified wall stone suppress changing shape in both directions. Transform before entering.
Does scale armour protect me from radiation?
It does not grant radiation immunity. Neither does hunter rank. Hunters need an active ocean eye for that protection.
Does the gila eye stop venom?
No. It protects against fire and lava, including kindling and Gila Burn. Gila venom can affect other gilas and eye-bearing hunters.
Why did the village stop helping me?
One active borrowed eye removes garrison protection. Two active eyes make the garrison hostile. Spare eyes sitting in your inventory are not the same as active powers.
How can I remove an eye power if the king attacks me?
You do not need a king. Hold a matching eye and Sneak + use it to remove that active power. The held eye stays, but the previously consumed power is not refunded.
Why does my crossbow do nothing?
You must be a hunter, meet the equipment’s rank requirement, wear a Scale Chestplate, and wait for its recharge.
How do I reach ballistas as a gila?
Hold Jump while pushing against a wall to climb. Tap Sprint to dash, including in the air. The full gila dash has a 60-second recharge.
Why does gila fire stop?
The channel ends when you release B, move too far from its starting point, climb, dash, run out of usable energy, or reach its time limit. Taking damage alone does not automatically cancel it.
Why are old spires still in my world?
The generation change applies to new chunks. Existing surface and cavern spires are not removed.
Where are the new domains in an older world?
Explore newly generated chunks. Updating the mod does not rebuild terrain you have already explored.
Can I find the mod’s source code here?
This repository contains only the player wiki, its website files, and selected item artwork. The mod’s source code is not included.
